LOAN PROCESSOR I

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provide all branches/customers with accurate, efficient and professional service.  Book loans on the bank’s core-accounting system (ITI), and maintenances ITI when necessary.  Book escrow information when required and disburses escrow funds to third parties as appropriate.  Assist in the preparation of portfolio reports as necessary.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  1. Books loans on ITI system in a complete, correct and efficient manner.
  2. Reviews loan documentation for completeness, correctness and compliance.
  3. Processes all modifications/extensions/renewals on the ITI System.
  4. Books, funds and pays-off loans.
  5. Builds transaction blocks and/or run necessary entries to complete loan or extension transactions as necessary.
  6. Monitors Exception Reports for processed branches for unscheduled transactions.
  7. Prepares and submits monthly reports as directed by Manager.
  8. Maintains billing records for branches being processed.
  9. Assists branches in error resolution.
  10. Performs other related duties as assigned by management 
  11. Regular and reliable attendance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of bank operations, policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of general lending process and ITI system
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Skill in communicating effectively with management, customers and co-workers.
  • Skill in customer relations.
  • Detail oriented and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school graduate or equivalent with previous banking experience or equivalent work experience.  
  • Previous experience with ITI system preferred.

PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS:
Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negotiable amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry or otherwise move objects.  Job involves sitting most of the time and walking and standing some of the time.  Facilities are located in basement area.

Monday through Friday, 8-5 (no weekends)
